Interview with Cécile Bottiau, Wellbeing & Disability Manager at ENGIE GBS Belgium
An international organization attentive to its collaborators
ENGIE GBS Belgium, the group’s shared services entity, supports ENGIE’s businesses on an international scale. With a constant focus on quality of work life (QWL) and psychosocial risk prevention (PSR), the organization recently turned to Balencio to conduct an in-depth survey among its teams.
Un besoin de profondeur et de clarté
Although ENGIE already has an internal global employee engagement survey tool, Cécile Bottiau aimed to go further by relying on an external partner to explore more detailed and concrete dimensions of workplace well-being.
«With Balencio, I can address essential topics such as work-life balance or commuting. That’s a real plus compared to a standard survey.”
An intuitive and rigorous platform
Among the selection criteria, the simplicity and clarity of the Balencio platform were key advantages. The ability to easily navigate between an overall view and detailed analysis was particularly appreciated.
“The interface is clear, smooth, and bug-free. I can easily move from the overall score down to the specific question that stands out. It’s very well designed.”
Another strong point highlighted is the rigor and attention given to the platform’s design, down to the smallest details.
“When a platform is clean, faultless, well designed… it inspires confidence. I feel that we are in good hands.”
Human and effective support
Throughout the process, the Balencio team demonstrated professionalism and attentiveness.
“The support is up to the tool: human, competent, available.”
An approach aligned with prevention and sustainable engagement
Beyond legal compliance, this survey helped better understand employees’ expectations and strengthened social dialogue within ENGIE GBS. The analysis of the results provided concrete insights to further improve working conditions.
“The tool allows for a real diagnosis, with concrete indicators. I come away with clear data that can be easily shared and used.”
A high-potential HR solution
If the platform has been used in the context of psychosocial risks, Cécile also foresees other uses for Balencio, notably in onboarding, monitoring the social climate or targeted HR initiatives.
